Viagra and Cialis
Viagra (known generically as Sildenafil), and Cialis (known generically as Tadalafil) are both impotence drugs with serious side effects.
Viagra, produced by Pfizer Inc., has been used by 23 million men around the world. Some of these men have suffered from a condition called nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) while they were taking Viagra. NAION, a decrease in blood flow to the optic nerve of the eye, can cause blindness. Other side effects that have been associated with Viagra are intraocular pressure, retinal vascular disease and other eye problems such as increased sensitivity to light and blurry vision.
Cialis, which is produced by Eli Lilly has also been linked to loss of vision caused by NAION. Currently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is investigating these cases.
If you are currently taking either Viagra or Cialis and are experiencing any difficulties with your vision, speak to a doctor immediately to discuss your options.
