VIOXXVioxx (known generically as Rofecoxib) is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) that was used
to treat arthritis, osteoarthritis, and menstrual pain, as well as managing acute pain in adults.
Vioxx is in a class of drugs known as Cox-2 Inhibitors, and was on the U.S. market from 1999
until it was removed from the market in 2004.
